The Institute of International Education (IIE) is a non-profit organization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-profit_organization) promoting international exchange of education (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education) and training. It was established in 1919 and is based in the United States.
The Institute governs more than 200 programs serving more than 20,000 persons from 175 nations each year. Every year, IIE hosts US higher education fairs across Asia which provide opportunities for university officials to meet international students. IIE sets the platform for personal interactions between prospective students, supportive parents, admissions representatives, and other like-minded education enthusiasts. The fair series helps the US universities build a brand name in key Asian countries.
